New program since 2024: Our trail begins in the charming Spanish village of La Codosera.
During our week-long hike, we walk in comfortable daily stages from the Spanish border region to Alto Alentejo.
We explore the gently rolling landscape, savor region´s delicious cuisine, and enjoy picnics in the countryside.
Following scenic trails, we cross the sierra along the border, pass through the "Serra de São Marmede" Natural Park,
and walk among olive groves, eucalyptus, pine trees and the characteristic cork and holm oaks. Our path takes us
across vast estates and open meadows, home to sheep, cattle, horses and the famous Iberian pig. With a bit of luck, we may spot
various bird species, including vultures, eagles, hoopoes and more. We then pass striking granite rock formations shaped during
the Ice Age.
Throughout our journey, we explore the beautiful region surrounding La Codosera, Portalegre, Crato and Alter do Chão.
